Frequently Ask Questions
Can we engrave jewelry?
We can not engrave jewelry or bare metal. We have a CO2 laser to engrave with. There is not enough power to engrave into bare metals. Some laser engraving companies have a fiber laser or use a marking spray to laser mark metal with. We have had very inconsistent results in the past, and no longer offer those services here.
I have this large item… can you engrave on that?
The maximum size we can do is 24″x18″ and about 9″ tall. The item has to be able to fit in our laser engraver. This machine is large and everything is engraved within a closed area.
Can you engrave metal mugs, like a yeti?
Yes, as long as the cup or mug is powder coated. We have a rotary attachment that hooks inside our machine. This allows the cup, mug or glass to rotate as it is being engraved. Not all cups or objects can work with the rotary attachment. Some have large handles that do not allow the cup to turn correctly. Other items are to large on the bottom or top of the glass (they need to be able to sit level, on their side inside the machine).
Can I bring you the item to be engraved?
Yes, but we recommend us purchasing the item and engraving it. If you bring us an item that you want laser engraved or laser cut, something may go wrong. We do not cover the cost of the item or replace the item, if something happens to it. Some items just can not be engraved. Some plastics melt. Some glass is way to thin and crack on impact from the laser beam and even some materials corrode the machine, giving off toxins. And sometimes, the machine messes up and doesn’t engrave right do to a malfunction. We just don’t know when that will happen and it has happened. If you have us purchase the blank item that is engraved and something happens … we will cover the costs to replace it. That mishap is on us.
Will I get to see what it will look like before it is engraved?
Yes, you will get a proof image if one is needed or if you want one. If a proof image is sent, you MUST approve this image before we laser engrave anything. Laser engraving is permanent. We can not go back and change it after it is engraved. Please check over all words and names for spelling errors. We can not stress this enough. Once you confirm your design, we will then engrave it. There is no going back after that.
What is your turnaround time?
Turnaround time depends on the product, what kind of services you are looking for and so on.
Apparel and custom items are usually is about 2-3 weeks.
Digital Designs are 24 hours – 1 week. Depending on the complexity of the design.
Laser engraving services are about 48 hours – 2 weeks.
Holidays, Peak Season (October – January), Quantity, Availability of a Product and Complexity of the design will alter turnaround time.
